Alarelin (one of the gonadorelins)
HCG (Gonadotropin) is a natural compound produced by the placenta and commercially created using genetic recombinant techniques, Gonadorelin is a synthetic peptide produced by biochemical techniques. Although the two compounds have similar effects because they act on the same receptor, they are not identical. Studies indicate that gonadorelin may have an extended spectrum of beneficial effects while being easier to store. Both measures will drive negative feedback loops in high doses. Gonadorelin is a synthetic gonadotropin-releasing hormone that, like HCG, increases luteinizing hormone (LH), but also activates follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which HCG does not. Gonadorelin does this by stimulating the pituitary gland, which is essential for the production oftestosterone in the testicles, causing not only a reversal of testicular atrophy but also an increase in semen volume
